We have had the Mayor on several times this year regarding crime. But not as much since Echeveria was hired.
There are government leaders that prefer to work behind the scenes, let the department heads do their job, And they don't crave or require a lot of media coverage. (Ardis was like this too) Just because a Mayor is not on TV once a week regarding crime or other issues, doesn't mean they're not doing their job.
She's been mayor for 8 months. I think I've seen maybe two stories. Could you post links to more? In both stories, all she talked about was S-NET and more collaboration. Both are doing jack squat. It seems like she didn't mind being in the media when she was just a council member. Maybe she is embarrassed at her ineptitude now that she in in charge?
Ardis did plenty of news conferences. He looked and sounded like a fool at every one of them.

Wondering if the Mayor will be blamed for not stopping that too. (Sarcasm)
How many times must we go over this? She is being criticized for doing nothing. She is playing the fiddle while Peoria burns, figuratively AND literally.
As opposed to Mayor Ard@ss!?! Who bought into a bankrupt hotel? Who tweeted their way into an ACLU lawsuit? Who lost CAT HQ? Who had similar levels of crime?
Oh wait, Ardis wasn't black or a female. Now I get it.

Ardis was horrible. I have criticized him many times. Twice just today. Stop making everything about race and gender. If she was a white man, my posts would be the same.

Since you are so adept at tracking and recalling old posts, how about sharing a few. I'd hazard to guess that if you could even find some, they'd be a FRACTION of your critical posts against Mayor Ali.

The PDC search doesn't work very well for older posts, so I guess you'll just have to take my word for it that I criticized him regularly over there.

I started to read some of these, and even without the PDC posts, I don't recall and seriously doubt you ever were criticizing Ardis before he even took office or continually pounding him during his first 12 months or first term in office.

When Ardis took office, PDC didn't even exist yet. On top of that, I was barely out of college and didn't give a hoot about politics, especially local politics. Either way, was crime this bad his first year in office? Had he started his ventures into crony capitalism?

Do you move those goalposts on your own or do you bring in a work crew?

Again that's funny because you are one trying to move them. I asked for a comparison of comments between Ali and Ardis, at the same point in time in their tenure.
@Tazewell just admitted he didn't comment on Ardis back then. Well, there you go. The young white college grad has no problem with, or even pays attention to, the new white, male mayor, but the world is ending before the new black, female mayor even takes office.
