no wonder LR identifies so strongly with her.
NY Times article on Peoria
I appreciate your perspective, I just have not seen her exhibit the qualities of a leader yet . Voter participation is good, but we do not need another politican as divisive as Donald Trump.LovelyRita wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 8:34 am None the less, she has the attention of POC in Peoria. I hope her candidacy encourages more voter participation.

I don't think she can win, but her participation has been important. I'd like to see more young people get involved in local politics and her candidacy seems to spark interest... That's good for our community. We need more voices.
BLACK LIVES MATTER
Do you want more voices in general, or just more of those that you agree with?

More voices in general.
BLACK LIVES MATTER
This we agree on! We need more citizens getting on the ballot and leading. Be sure to look at third parties this year on the ballot. The DNC and RNC have a chokehold on ballot access. Political parties should not keep citizens off the ballot.
Excellent. Personally, I wish there were more born again Christians with true conservative beliefs that were in leadership roles at every level. We have way too many liberals and RINOs running the show right now.
