The long time host of "The Price is Right", and before that, "Truth or Consequences" game show, has died at age 99 early Saturday.. He was also a big advocate for animals and pet adoptions. A household name for half a century.

I first remember watching him in the late 60's/early 70's sometimes on the syndicated "Truth or Consequences" which aired on WIRL/WRAU TV 19 at 6 pm after the local news. When that show ended, I followed him, when possible, on "The Price is Right", which aired on WMBD TV 31 from CBS.

Sympathies to his family. RIP Bob, with that long stick microphone you always liked using. "Come on down, Bob, you're the next special angel to enter "Heaven".
