I remember hearing his hit "Kiss An Angel Good Morning" on WXCL-AM, growing up on Country music until about age 12, along with others like Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Lynn Anderson, and Porter Wagoner with Dolly Parton.
Pride was one of a kind with his music.

My parents were huge Country Music fans. Charley Pride was one of my mother's favorites. I also grew up listening to country music, back when it was real.
