One of the unintentional perks of media. Folks sponsoring events a lot of times give media free bottles of water/soda or food in appreciation of media coming out to do a story on their event.
If I want local coverage of a non-profit event, am I expected to provide a free goodie bag to the crew in exchange for their work? The non-profit I volunteer with has a pretty slim budget, so we’ll have to build in that cost, if required.

Including Toldyouso. If you read the post, she ASKED if she was expected. That's different than saying it's expected.

Dennis never said it was expected either, but he is being raked over the coals like he demanded it.

No, he's being raked over the coals like he ACCEPTED it.

So you admit that you are harassing him. Well now, that is a first. You admitting your mistake. He accepted it BECAUSE he was offered it. Absolutely NO HARM done.

was everyone at the event offered one for free, or was he specifically offered it because of his position? Therein lies the difference.

You know, I'm now regretting I even started this thread. All I intended to do was promote the fundraiser for the Susan B. Komen Foundation with the Johnsonville Brats, something they've done for over a dozen years.
Unfortunately, it seems I have to be extra careful with my words, as others start making comments that have nothing to do with the topic. @WAPJoe, just delete this topic, if you can. Thanks.
Did Johnsonville send out the grill truck?
