As far as I know, the Chief of Police reports directly to the City Manager, not the Mayor.
F**k these insane trackers, this place is not a healthy debate of issues anymore, just a bunch of folks trying to outdo one another. Where is the cancel account button?

Let's see what happens, the new chief doesn't start until August 2nd.

Sometimes a new style and new ideas are important. Broad experience in different areas of the department matter. Breaking up the "good, ole boy network" matters.
