In reference to the below release on behalf of the Peoria Police Department:
The male, Jabbarius Highsmith, who was just 15 years old, was transported to OSF Healthcare Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria in grave condition. Sadly, despite aggressive resuscitative efforts, he was pronounced deceased in the operating room at 8:40 p.m.
The autopsy on young Highsmith demonstrates that he suffered multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body and had injuries inconsistent with life.
This case remains under investigation by the Peoria Police Department CID unit.

Yes, it's sad to see so much violence anywhere in 2023. Even if it's just one shooting, one homicide, one stabbing even in other cities.

The title of the thread doesn't say anything about Peoria. So I feel posting about violence in other cities is allowed.

Maybe the County Coroner should run for Mayor of Peoria. At least he has a plan…
Homicide rate in Peoria is now greater than the national average for males aged 15-34

I am pretty sure that the County Coroner and the Mayor of Peoria have had civil discussions about the problem.Toldyouso wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 8:01 pm Maybe the County Coroner should run for Mayor of Peoria. At least he has a plan…
