Disclosure: I've known Greg for about a year or so, as he works as PR specialist at PCCEO, working in the office across the hall from what was my office. (And still vacant). We've collaborated on a couple of testimonial videos from scholarship recipients. Great guy, does excellent marketing for the agency.

F**k these insane trackers, this place is not a healthy debate of issues anymore, just a bunch of folks trying to outdo one another. Where is the cancel account button?
Peoria Public Schools consistently rank near the bottom regardless of the name of the school. There are much better things this money could be spent on, and it will cost money to change the names. Signs need changing, gymnasium floors, websites, business cards, letterhead, etc. I have no idea what the total cost to change the name of six schools is but betting it's north of $500,000

I am good with the name changes. I hope the schools that make the name changes will take the opportunity to provide the school name history before the new name change as well as the history behind the new name every year.
