Peoria location to close. Can’t say I’m surprised, but less sales tax revenue and a big, empty building in the middle of the city isn’t a good thing.

Bed, Bath & Beyond announced that more stores were closing as the company teeters on bankruptcy. The Peoria store, which is located at the intersection of Glen Avenue and University Street, was listed among the stores that will close at an undetermined date.
PEORIA - The Peoria Bed Bath & Beyond store is on the latest list of stores the corporation has elected to close.

Located at 4800 N. University St., the store is one of 150 stores on a closing list issued this week by the corporation.

The struggling company has shuttered 400 stores in the past year, according to regulatory filings. The company's forecast for first quarter sales was down 30% to 40%, according to the filing. No information was provided on when the Peoria store will close.

My wife and I went there quite a few times. Too bad there aren't any mom and pop places to pick up the business.
