I'm glad that the officer went home safe, the bad guy is 6 feet under, and we don't have to pay to feed and shelter him for the next 20 years. Good outcome.

I think fools like some of the members of this forum should watch videos like these from time to time so they can have a better appreciation for how quickly a situation can turn deadly for an LEO.

A couple of very poignant takeaways from that video.

“I let my guard down”. We’re taught NEVER to let our guard down, but that’s easier said than done. By nature humans are pack animals. It’s mentally exhausting to keep your guard up every moment of every interaction 40+ hours a week

“Who came out with the gun? Thank you!” I can’t add to that. Very likely saved this troopers life.
