While focused on snow and cold, I have seen another issue 'pop up'.
Potholes. Obviously due to water, ice getting into cracks and expanding.
Finally getting out and about today, Parkway Drive from Rt. 98 south to Sheridan in Pekin was a bit treacherous. I stayed in the left lane, as the right lane was pocked with small and larger holes. After Sheridan, it was the left lane to avoid.
Is there a certain temp that city crews have to wait to fill potholes with either hot or cold asphalt, for temporary fix. Consider me a Muggle in this knowledge of road repair magic.

F**k these insane trackers, this place is not a healthy debate of issues anymore, just a bunch of folks trying to outdo one another. Where is the cancel account button?

I guess temps like today are ok for filling potholes. 25 News showed Peoria city crews in action of taking care of potholes.
