Elevate Incident
PPD Incident #21-2000

(Peoria, IL) - Saturday, February 6, 2021 at approximately 9:42 pm, Peoria Police responded to Elevate, 8800 N Allen Rd, regarding a large group of juveniles fighting inside the business.

Upon arrival, officers observed multiple individuals exiting the building and a large group actively fighting (punching and pulling hair) inside. A responding officer noted the smell of what he believed to be pepper spray in the air inside of the business. The group was dispersed and directed outside. Once outside, additional fights broke out again. Officers outside continued dispersing the large group until they were eventually picked up by a adults. At no time did PPD deploy pepper balls or pepper spray of any kind.

AMT and PFD medics were on scene and standing by for any individual seeking medical treatment. One parent reported her child being attacked but refused medical treatment at the scene.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division are currently reviewing video evidence from last night and working to identify multiple individuals involved. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the aggressors is asked to contact Peoria Police at (309) 673-4521 or CrimeStoppers, anonymously, at (309) 673-9000.

This incident is under investigation.
