Since I finished an ICC Multimedia class, with main project animating a children's book using Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro Creative Cloud 2018. (As of this month, been using Premiere for about 20 years, and use 2020 version at WMBD)
Here is link for those who didn't see it on PDC. We had to do an on camera introduction as well, so I scripted something that's a fun poke at Hollywood movie actors.
I had hoped it would help me in landing a full time video job. Nope, all I've gotten is reject emails from about 5-6 video jobs I applied for. Jobs that I definitely qualified for. And not even a phone interview for all but one. One wanted professional samples less than 3 years old. I told them I haven't worked on a pro video project anywhere since 2014 that I could supply one. After I sent them the book video, I got a reject email.
I still say I'm being age discriminated, no matter what job area I've applied for.
If you were an employer, and an applicant said he graduated from college in 1980, but has the skills and knowledge to do the job, would you strongly consider him?
It's been a hellish 7 years since being downsized from PCCEO, trying to find something with benefits so my wife can retire next year. Although this year has been better economically for us, I'd rather work one FT job vs. 2 PT jobs.

F**k these insane trackers, this place is not a healthy debate of issues anymore, just a bunch of folks trying to outdo one another. Where is the cancel account button?
That must be very disheartening. However, it appears that there just aren’t that many jobs in this area requiring your skill set. Have you thought about acquiring a new skill that is more in demand? For example, there is a shortage of truck/delivery drivers. UPS, FedEx, etc. can’t hire enough people. Pay and benefits are very good. You’d need your truck driver’s license, but you could get the required training for that at ICC:

Thanks for the tip, but I'd rather drive regular vehicles for delivery. Now, I have seen Fedex regular vans out and about. I'm also cognitive of what weight limits I could handle, probably 50 lbs without a hand truck.
