Festival of Lights Parade (East Peoria)

East Side Community Media has videotaped the Parade every year it was held, ever since the very first one in 1984. I was the one behind the single camera with two floodlights so we could see the floats better. Back then, the floats were not made of all lights like they are now. The way the Parade has evolved over the years is tremendous. We took our daughters to see it several times when they were young.
It's also good to see that multiple media outlets livestreamit tonight. I'm not sure if this is the first year ESCM has done that. They usually shoot it with four cameras and then edit and mix later. When WEEK aired the parade a week later, they used the video mix provided by ESCM, and added their local talent to narrate it.
My wife and I were getting a pizza when the parade started, so we'll watch it later.
