Homicide
PPD Incident #20-22410
(Peoria, IL) - Sunday, November 15, 2020, at approximately 11:04 pm, Peoria Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating five rounds fired in the area of the 700 block of N Hillyer. Additionally, a caller reported hearing shots fired in the apartment complex.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim unresponsive on the sidewalk in the 700 blk of N Shipman. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene and appeared to suffer at least one gunshot wound.
There is no suspect information at this time.
The Peoria County Coroner was on scene. Information regarding the victim’s identity will be released by the Coroner at the conclusion of the autopsy.
