A Confession for the Soul
Posted: Mon Dec 11, 2023 5:30 pm
This is something I've been planning to do since the 2 week break I took to reflect on myself. With the advice of a WAP member in early August, here is my confession and prayer.
Dear Lord,
It is said that a confession is good for the Soul. I pray that I need to come clean regarding something I’m guilty of, that I avoided to feel better about myself.
I freely admit and confess that I was wrong about denying what I did. I do admit that I was the WAP member, “A US Citizen”
Lord, although I will say I’m sorry to those I deceived here on “We Are Peoria”, I also confess I did the least I could and tried to get away with it.
I ask for your grace, forgiveness, and I repent for what I did.
At the same time, please bestow on other members of “We Are Peoria” to accept my confession, to forgive me, and move on from this issue. I know it’s easy to forgive, and not forget. Lord, I’m not asking for them to forget. Just put it in their hearts to accept my confession.
I also ask for your blessings and wisdom to be placed on all members to discuss issues on the “We Are Peoria” forum with dignity, respect, and honest discussions. Members will be in disagreement, but put in their hearts to agree to disagree without malice and hate.
I also pray that with the upcoming elections in 2024, that you place your words into the hearts of those who seek office, that your message will enable them to speak your words, instead of theirs, and that it will help those decide who is best to serve for the betterment of the cities, states, and the country.
My prayers to you also for those who suffer from harassment, poverty, hunger, war, and sickness, no matter where they live in this wonderful world you created.
I am reminded again of the prayer that your Son, Jesus Christ taught others, that included “And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
I pray again for your grace and forgiveness for what I have done.
Amen.
