It happened around 10:15 AM near Richmond and Molleck, after Police were called on a report of a male shot in the leg.
There, they found a boy with an apparent gunshot wound in the 3100 block of Molleck.
The juvenile was not responsive, and died at the scene.

Peoria Police spokesperson Semone Roth says 33-year-old Bryce C. Crandall was arrested for aggravated battery and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
Roth says police were patrolling downtown at around 4:11 a.m. Sunday when they saw a fight happening in the 400 block of Fulton Street. Police were told that one of the subjects was armed.
The fight ended as officers approached. Two women told police they were approached by an unknown man who physically attacked them.

Peoria Police say that at 3:17 am they were dispatched to the 900 block of West MacQueen near North Broadway St. for reports of an armed robbery.
When they arrived a man said he was approached by two juveniles wearing masks on the 2400 block of Sheridan Rd, near McClure Ave. The man said that one of the juveniles showed him a handgun and demanded he empty his pockets. The other one patted him down and took his wallet.

Peoria Police spokesperson Semone Roth says 18-year-old William M. Wade immediately ran from officers when they tried to made contact with him at around 1:10 p.m. in the 2400 block of North Sheridan.
He ran inside a home in the same block. Officers followed andhe was apprehended.
A loaded handgun with an extended magazine and additional ammunition was allegedly found.
He was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, no FOID, possession of a handgun under 21 and obstructing police.
A fire that started in a garage and spread to a second garage and damaged a pair of homes in Peoriaβs East Bluff neighborhood Thursday evening was intentionally set, the fire department said.
No one has been living at the homes in the 900 block of East Corrington Avenue, near North Wisconsin Avenue, said Battalion Chief Scott Strum.
Total damage is estimated at $110,000, according to Strum. He said no one was hurt.
