New SALT Tax deduction Law

It actually went into effect in August after being signed by Governor Pritzker. But it was filed and sponsored by
IL Republican Senator Win Stoller. And he was able to bring on board about 15 Republicans and 14 Democrats (Senate and House) to cosponsor and get it passed. It's a win for small businesses in terms of how they do their business tax deductions and the SALT limit. Because it's almost tax time, we did this story today.

Win Stoller was featured in an "On The Record" interview talking about his bill. Some of it aired on Good Day Central Illinois, but the entire 9 minute interview can be seen on CiProud.com

Wow, imagine that. A station accused of leaning a certain way showcasing the accomplishment of a GOP state senator on something that helps small businesses, many who also probably are Conservative.

For those that are not satisfied with this, here is the link to the actual bill that a Democratic Governor signed into law.

@WAPJoe if you think this is too political, feel free to move it to local politics.

Good to see the political parties working together. We just don't get much of that at all anymore. Now there is a novel idea,....working together!

Why did you have to throw this in? This story doesn't undo the hundreds of Leftist stories you guys have put out and continue to put out.

This bill wouldn't have been needed if state and local taxes weren't so ridiculously high.

The state is bleeding people, well over 100,000 net loss last year. This is a band aid but won’t stop the exodus.
