According to the PJStar, Kailey was strangled before the suspect set fire to the house. No motive known yet.
This is Maddening because we know Kailey and her family. Kailey was friends with our younger daughter, and I went to high school with her dad. We sometimes gave Kailey ride home from events and outings with my daughter. We called her last night, while she was vacationing with husband in Branson, with the news. She was shocked, as she said she just talked to Kailey last week. Kailey was in Springfield for a job interview. Daughter did not know anything about the suspect when told the name. This pic is from 2017. Kailey is on the left. I don't think two girls have been able to get together since before the Pandemic. Last time wife and I saw her was at daughter's bridal shower in 2019.
