Midwest Pet Food, Inc. Aflatoxin: Mold growth on the corn used in the feed.

FDA posting:

We lost a pet years ago due to the melamine scandal, https://www.fda.gov/animal-veterinary/r ... -questions. Let's just say the settlement prohibits me from mentioning the brand, but it was a high-end vet brand.

Purina was the only producer not involved back then, they still produce all food stateside. Needless to say, we only buy Purina.

I wasn’t involved in the settlement, so I’ll mention it for you: Hill’s Science.
I’m currently making my own dog food from all human-grade ingredients, produced in the U.S.A.

The incident involved 150 brands of pet food, but you might be pretty warm on your guess.
