A reliable source has indicated the Hofbrau owner has no intention of re-opening after the quarantine order is fully lifted.

I hear it will be for sale at a pretty hefty price and not likely to sell anytime soon.

Damn! I've always wanted to eat at the Hofbrau!

I wonder if they own all the land around it? I've never understood a German restaurant without a beer garden.

This is so sad. We have not been there for a while, but, used to frequent it often. The atmosphere and food were wonderful.

a colleague and I both retired on the same day a few years ago, and we celebrated our final "day after work" at the Haufbrau with more than enough German beers. It was a great time. The next morning was not so grand though. I rarely drink more than a couple of beers in a sitting, and really only drink about 2-3 times per month, less in the winter.

They are on FB. I’m going to ask how long they have been opened. I know it has been a long time, good many years.
