Two men suffered gunshot wounds Thursday evening in the 1300 block of NE Madison Avenue, near Spring Street in Peoria, according to police.

A police spokesperson did not know the condition of the two men.

From early Tuesday morning to late Thursday night, 11 people were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds in Peoria, and one is dead.

Neighbors confirm to 25News, one person was wounded, possibly in the shoulder, and is in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The call came in to Peoria police around 2pm, Sunday.

According to Peoria Police Sgt. Amy Dotson, motor vehicle theft is up 88%, gunshot violence is up 49%, and shooting incidents are up 50%.
