My bad. So, it was written during the Bill Clinton administration. Interesting.
... and Newt's "Contract with America". About as effective as "Make America Great Again". Sharing the love!
Two things:
(1) Gingrich is correct on Hillary.
(2) The GOP's Contract With America was one of the greatest triumphs in American Political History. Bill Clinton even signed much of the legislation. It can be credited with the prosperity we had in the mid- to late-1990s, as well as declining deficits. The GOP-controlled Congress tightened spending while low gas prices, NAFTA (before it became outdated), new trade relationships with Eastern European countries and the dot com boom etc. enabled higher tax revenue.

So that generated the surplus that GW Bush gave back instead of reducing our deficit with!?! Nice - Republicans undermining Republicans.

Yes. Obamacare prevented thousands from drowning in medical bills. More people are insured and able to stay healthy. Fewer people have to change jobs because insurance ran out due to lifetime caps. Thousands are employed because they were actually able to get insurance receive medical treatment and return to the work force.
Have you ever worked?
Amen! Yep have worked at least part time since I was 14. Remember $1M lifetime caps and pre-existing conditions!

Bill Clinton dropping his pants instead of dealing with al-Qaida had consequences. And yet, good times returned in 2003, lasting until the Dems won control of Congress.

Glad you edited your original post, it almost sounded like you were ripping on Bush Jr there. You know, because like he took care of Bin Laden and all, oh wait ...

Yes, that is why I edited my comment.
As for Osama bin Laden, information leading to his killing was obtained thanks to intelligence work done during the Bush Administration. Obama merely okay'd the operation, and likely did so to keep Donald Trump's agitation on his birth certificate off the headlines. Most have forgotten what pundits were discussing the last few days in April 2011.

Right, even Donny disagrees with Bush's policies and ignoring CIA intelligence.
I'll work on finding you the video taped interview with GW where he couldn't even name leaders of most of the foreign nations he was to be dealing with, especially the coup in - you guessed it - Pakistan!
"Can you name the general who is in charge of Pakistan?" asked Hiller, inquiring about Gen. Pervaiz Musharraf, who took over last month in a military coup.
"Wait, wait, is this 50 questions?" replied Bush.
Hiller replied: "No, it's four questions of four leaders in four hot spots."
Bush said: "The new Pakistani general, he's just been elected – not elected, this guy took over office. It appears this guy is going to bring stability to the country and I think that's good news for the subcontinent."
Hiller persisted, saying "Can you name him?"
Bush said: "General. I can name the general. General."
There you go, two stellar Republican presidents.

It has long been a staple of American society; you work hard you can have a good life. No person working 40+ hours a week, being a productive member of society, should be living in poverty.

Trump is correct on Iraq. It isn't a Democratic party line, it is the truth. There were no weapons. A Republican president lied us into a war.

Nonsense. If teenagers can work flipping burgers for “a living wage”, what’s the incentive for them to graduate high school? Without that FREE education, they are doomed to staying in that dead-end job. Instead, encourage the teens to make the best of their taxpayer-funded education. Not all kids will go on to college, but let’s see more options like Woodruff Career & Technical Center. Programs like those offered there are more likely to break the cycle of poverty.
