Elevate Trampoline Park Peoria
PEORIA (HOI) -- Following a large fight involving juveniles over the weekend, Elevate Trampoline Park announced it will discontinue its "teen nights" effective immediately at all of its Illinois locations.
The incident happened Saturday night, when police say they were called to Elevate on North Allen Road for a "large group of juveniles fighting inside the business."
Once at the trampoline park, a Peoria Police Department spokesperson said, officers noticed several people leaving the facility. Then once inside saw a "large group actively fighting."
Police describe this fight as punching and pulling hair, inside the facility.
Police stayed on the scene until all juveniles were picked up by parents.
Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage to try to determine a cause of the fights. The footage will also be used to identify those who instigated the fight. But no juveniles were taken into custody.
"Due to an active police investigation, we are unable to comment on the fight that took place at our Peoria park on Saturday evening. Our staff is working in full cooperation with the police department and are asking anyone with information regarding the cause of the fight or those involved to call the Peoria Police Department," a statement from Elevate Trampoline Park read.
The park's teen nights will now be replaced with "open jump" time, according to the company's statement.
"We are committed more than ever on focusing our efforts to maintain a family friendly environment, where everyone who enters our doors, both guests and staff members, are respected and treated with kindness at all times. This will continue to be a priority going forward," according to the statement.
