So you've got a crystal ball or a secret camera hidden recording secret meetings of 10 council members without the Mayor?
If more than a quorum of council members were meeting, they'd be in violation of the open meetings act.

If Ali was spearheading this effort, she likely would have been mentioned. It sounds like Grayeb is filling the leadership gap left by the mayor.

I was aware of that, but thanks.

Leadership gap? Newsflash, some "leaders" aren't tweeting at 2am in the morning strung out on Adderall. I think it is good that Grayeb joined the cause,

“Joined” whose cause?
Mayor Ali has stated repeatedly that this is someone else’s problem to fix.

I’m not mayor of Peoria. It’s not my job to fix the city’s ills.
I’ve been unable to find ANY source that says Mayor Ali has taken a personal role in stopping the street violence. Please prove me wrong.

#27 for the year. Not a shooting death. Perhaps the sharp instrument was bought in Indiana?

I don't mean to sound crass, but you'd think they would eventually run out of people to murder at this rate. Very sad.

Sad situation indeed, but wondering how police initially thought it could have been a suicide? This time it was an adult, not a juvenile who was killed, but still someone who was killed for a reason we won't know until the trial 12-18 months from now. (Once a suspect is arrested soon)

My guess is it was the killer (or accomplice) who called it in as a suicide, just so the victim would be found. Has a suspect been identified?
I’ve lost track. Is this the first female homicide victim of the year?
