Local news outlets do a good job reporting what's going on

What is your favorite local news outlet? I prefer WEEK for news, but WMBD for weather. The rest of what WMBD reports has too much Leftist garbage.

"without an example I can only answer in generic terms. The original post in this thread mentioned childish comments, and those are not very often moderated out of the political forums. If someone flags a post that violates other forum rules then it may get moderated. I also said I don't read all the posts, but do read all the flagged posts. Did you flag the post this "buddy" made? I don't rremember seeing any flags from you lately.

If you use the thumbs down reaction, I don't get any notice of that. It's just your reaction to the post, and there are a lot of posts that seem to automatically get thumbs down reactions from some users.

If you mention me like you did here @A US Citizen I get the same notice you get when someone mentions you.

If you flag or report a post I get a red notice that is hard to miss.

Please don't flag every post you disagree with, especially in the political forum. I get more than enough of that already.

Eh, I watch a mix of local news. Sometimes WEEK, sometimes WMBD, but different times.

I do think Chris Yates does a helluva better job at weather than Chuck Collins. But that's me and my opinion.

Hey, some more good news here. It's not set in stone yet, but some folks say that Samsung's thinking about putting up some kind of a battery factory in Normal, right near Rivian. Guessin' Rivian would be a main customer, huh?

Stayin' up to late, giving me all kinds of weird dreams after putting my head down. I done said my piece over in politics, probably shot my mouth off too much. But damn, I love the Constitution, love the 1st Amendment. 2nd Amendment, well, that's another story for another day.

Amazon is going to open a Fulfillment Center in North Pekin in 2022. Possibly 250-500 jobs, with pay estimated at $15 per hour. I try not to watch news much, as no one tells the truth anymore. But this story is good economic news for the region.

Everyone here should enjoy this kind of news, whether you're a far Left Democratic Socialist, or still a far Right Republican supporter of President Trump. I'm neither one, I hate politics.

By the way, I just joined this forum. I've been reading some of the different categories, and threads. Some of them actually disgust me, because many of the posters are acting very childish. I would send my kids to their room if they talked to me that way!!
