There is a lot of business there for West Peoria. My son lives near there. I hope that they are able to calm things down there and reopen successfully.

How long before this place is closed for good? It seems like they better get a handle on
their clientele.

You know if this was a 4 am bar on the southside, their liquor license would already be yanked....twice.

262 emergency calls in less than 2 years. Wow!
PEORIA (WEEK) - A stabbing at Crusens Bar left two injured and hospitalized. Now, West Peoria's mayor James Dillon is speaking out, saying that the incident makes him "sick" to his stomach.
"We tried to warn the owners of Crusens that we were afraid something was going to happen, and they didn't take our warning seriously evidently," said Dillon.
Last month, Dillon ordered the bar to close early for three days after reports of overcrowding.
Local attorney Jeff Green is representing a client involved in a separate altercation saying that incidents like this are nothing new.
"There's a dispatch log. It's 8 pages single spaced, there was 262 emergency calls to the county to Crusens on Farmington Road address in less than two years," said Green.
Additionally, Dillon reviewed surveillance photos from the stabbing incident noticing large crowds and only one mask in sight.
"It puts a lot of undue pressure on the city, especially the Sheriff's department," said Dillon expressing his concerns of a currently-understaffed department and local COVID resources.
Prior to the stabbing, an employee found a loaded gun on the dance floor earlier that evening. While deputies believe that there is no connection to the stabbing, Green still questions the Crusens' safety and security.
"If it's so crowded they're finding guns on the ground, like 'how many people are really in there?' What's really going on in there especially during this time?"
Crusens management has yet to comment. This incident is still under investigation.

Now that is funny. Beyond a plannin' a stabbin' at Crusen's, what else constitutes Dunlap thug life? Flipping the rims on mom's BMW inside out?, letting the grass grow to 7" tall when code says 6"?, ... Some bad ass northsiders!

You just don't know how hard it is to live with the burden of white privilege.
