Last information we have is the latest death has NOT, repeat, has NOT, been ruled a homicide!

https://www.centralillinoisproud.com/ne ... wednesday/

When it was first put into the news system this morning, there was a footnote about 'self-inflicted". But let's wait for the coroner ruling.
F**k these insane trackers, this place is not a healthy debate of issues anymore, just a bunch of folks trying to outdo one another. Where is the cancel account button?

WMBD reported the story. @Toldyouso continues to repeat herself ad nauseum.
I guess I need to update the title of this thread. Within the last 20 hours, Peoria has recorded it’s 18th and 19th homicides.
I’m so sorry my reporting facts makes you uncomfortable!
Nope, I watch the news. You are just needless repetition.
So, why do you also read WeArePeoria?
This is the local news forum.
The weekly murders of young Black male Peorians is local news.
If facts bother you, don’t read my posts. I’m not here to entertain you.

@AV8R, if this was not a homicide, would the police be asking "Those with any information regarding this incident are encouraged to contact the Peoria Police Department at (309)-673-4521 or CrimeStoppers anonymously at (309)-673-9000."?

I wouldn’t think so but investigating homicides is outside my wheelhouse.

It looks like it was indeed another homicide. It’s awful that a preteen was the victim. At least a couple of suspects are in custody.

PEORIA (HOI) - Peoria Police have arrested two people, including a teenage boy for a shooting on Wednesday that killed a preteen boy.
Police were called about 5:10 a.m. Monday to a report that someone had been shot in the 3000 block of West Seibold Street, on the city's south side. The young victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Police said Friday night they arrested Karon M. Schuch, 34, on four counts of endangering the health or life of a child and obstructing justice. She's being held in the Peoria County Jail.
Also arrested was a 15-year old for reckless discharge of a firearm and unlawful possession of a handgun while younger than 21. He's been taken to the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center.
Police said they've recovered the gun.
Authorities said they're not releasing other information because of the age of the victim and teenager arrested in the case.

What does it take to find out motive in a homicide case like this?

Here’s a little more information about Peoria’s latest homicide, curtesy of WCBU. Note that the victim was just twelve years old.

“A woman and a 15-year-old boy face charges tied to Wednesday morning’s shooting death of a juvenile in South Peoria.

According to Peoria Police Sgt. Amy Dotson, Karon M. Schuch was arrested Friday on four counts of endangering the life of a child and one count of obstructing justice. She was in custody at the Peoria County Jail.

Detectives also arrested the teen for reckless discharge of a firearm, reckless conduct, and unlawful possession of a handgun by an individual under 21. The teen was taken to the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center.

The incident occurred in the 3000 block of West Seibold shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday. Police arrived on the scene to find a juvenile male victim with apparent gunshot wounds.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Deshawnteris Edwards, 12, who lived in the 3000 block of W. Seibold. He suffered a single gunshot wound to the head and likely died instantly.

Harwood said the case is being investigated as a homicide.

Detectives interviewed several individuals who were present during the incident, and a firearm linked to the incident has been recovered.

The Peoria County Coroner’s office has not released the victim’s name or a cause of death. Citing the age of both the victim and the teen suspect, Peoria Police said no additional information would be released.”

what kind of sick a-hole kills a 12 year old child? Lack of a moral compass for sure.

Worse, what kind of sick a-hole teaches a 15-year-old that it’s OK to kill a 12-year-old?
